It was a long drive from Lancaster to Pasadena but it was worth the trip. We were aware of the situation with my wife's vision and the staff and Dr were very informative. They treated us like family. We had some hope that there was something that could be done, but it wasn't to be. We would recommend this office to anyone seeking information regarding their vision.

My experience with Dr Murthy and his staff was excellent. He is by far the best retinal specialist that I’ve been to, and is now my ophthalmologist of choice for any issues. The staff were courteous, welcoming and organized. Dr Murthy is extremely knowledgeable, and I evaluate that from my own RN background. His explanations and next steps were clear. His touch was gentle, a big deal to me who dislikes anyone touching my eyes. He is genuinely caring as well, focused and I felt valued as a patient. Even a new first time patient. I highly recommend Retina Eye Specialists and Dr Murthy!

Dr Murthy and his staff are terrific! He always takes an extra moment to educate, explain and respond to questions in a kind and caring manner. I have been coming for a number of years and his follow up and thoroughness is reassuring; I am confident that I am in good hands. Finally, his office is notable for its efficiency and organization. I highly recommend Dr Murthy’s practice.

Took my grandmother to Dr. Murthy for an eye examination earlier today due to her preexisting diabetes and I was delighted by how fast the staff was able to see us, and how pleasant it was to speak with the doctor. He explained everything that he was looking at in terms so that both my grandmother and I could understand, and was extremely polite in the process. You can really tell that the doctor and his staff care for their patients, and we will definitely visit regularly.

Dr. Murthy has been caring for my eyes for several years now and my recent surgeries with him could not have gone better ! Even though I had been seeing Dr. Murthy for several years, I did a careful search for the best surgeon to do my Vitrectomies. Dr. Murthy was at the top of the list I got from several extremely high-end surgeons and doctors that I have trusted with my other care in the past. It was very comforting to find his name at the top of their lists when I asked "Who would you go see for Back-of-Eye surgery? " Also, I appreciate how careful Dr. Murthy is regarding recommending surgeries ! My surgeries went perfectly. And Very quickly! No real discomfort or pain. They were delicate surgeries and he performed them both perfectly. Dr. Murthy is also a real joy to work with. His staff all seem to truly enjoy working there as well. Dr. Murthy is a fantastic doctor and a brilliant surgeon. His staff makes the entire experience enjoyable and easy.

One of the greatest experiences that I see doctors. I was relaxed (not stressed out) by the clean and organized facility as well as professional conduct of staff. Dr. Murthy is patient with questions and explains his diagnosis in comprehensive terms. I feel I'm under good care.

I really need to come and visit.This review is almost 9 years late. I love this doctor so much. He is so personable. I had my son no one would listen to me about something not being right and he came and checked and sure enough I was right and he did my son's surgery right away. And kept seeing us until it was time for us to see someone else in our area. We are so grateful for him and his staff. My son is nine now at doing great!!! 💜🙏
